Tiina Liimu is an artist and creative whose practice overlaps time-based, digital and traditional forms. She works with images and installations. Her digital media work “Sequence: Flux” was exhibited at the New Forms Festival, and the analog film “Transversals” toured the North American West Coast. She served on the VIVO Media Arts Centre board of directors and educational committees.

Her art and production work stretched between Vancouver and Toronto, where she styled sets and interiors for advertising, designed decor, and fabricated scenic elements for live events, exhibits, motion pictures, and theatre.

As a graduate of Emily Carr University of Art and Design, her studies drew attention to the intersections of new media, fine art, and narrative design. Through experimental disciplines and ongoing training, she expanded her digital media, animation, and graphic design credentials.

A natural enthusiasm for live music and images led to documenting concerts and DIY subcultures. Photographs from this archive found an audience in popular culture magazines, event exhibits, promotional and album art.
